Lantis, the tall, good looking, but gloomy type who your main character usually falls for in the end. Well, that's partly right (since Hikaru went for both him and Eagle) at least. Lantis may seem gloomy at first sight, but he can be really touching and interesting at the correct times. He's so gloomy because he hates Cefiro, well, not in terms of the land, but the pillar system Cefiro uses. He thinks that whenever a new pillar is born, the same tragic story which happened to his brother would repeat again. So he sets himself a quest to end the system, and one of his famous quotes is, "The tragedy... Will not repeat... I'll use these hands... To end the Legend of the Magic Knights!" (from the end of the Manga volume 4 - season 2 volume 1)

It may seem like Primera has Lantis all to herself, but Lantis never showed any affection towards her. Perhaps Lantis had kept his mind focused on his mission to end the pillar system that he didn't allow any of his feelings to show. However, when he met Hikaru, her innocent heart seemed to have opened up his feelings. In the end, of the Anime, Lantis openly accepted Hikaru's declaration of love while in the Manga, Lantis asked Hikaru to marry him.
