Original Manga Description
Rayearth appears in the guise of a dark red wolf and controls the power of Fire. He (note that gender was never given to the Mashins, but their Voice Talents were all males) was awakened by Hikaru in the Temple of Fire where he changed into the form of a Mashin to fight alongside her. Rayearth represents Fire, Passion and the Future.
Magic Spells
Hikari no Rase (Spiral Light) [can only be used along with the other two Mashin]
The rest of Rayearth's spells are simply enhanced versions of Hikaru's spells.
