Sera is actually Innova, Innova in the shell of a girl. Being the smart type who doesn't just go head on to fight anybody unless he knows he has 100% chance of winning, Innova tried the emotional approach. He transformed himself into a rather attractive female who tricked Ferio into rescuing her (I'm referring to Sera who is really Innova here) and Fuu got jealous.

When Fuu went into the Temple of Wind, Sera showed her true form and captured Ferio and the rest of it was Innova again, so I'm not going to talk about it here. Before all of this, Sera claimed she was up at the mountain to get some medicine (or herbs to be exact) for her sick brother in the village at the bottom of the mountain. She made some soup out of them and offered some to Ferio as a gift for saving her. They then continued with their chit-chat while Fuu was listening to them while pretending to be asleep.
