Mokona no Ekaki Uta
The original version of this song can also be found in the Best Song Book, the English name of this song goes somewhere along the lines of "How to draw Mokona". The remix gives a more rock feel of the song whereas the original sounds more like a child's song. The way the three knights sang the song was pretty much the same way along with the Puu's of Mokona, but the Puu's seem to be faster and shorter to fit the rhythm of the song. Overall, nice little song to listen to when you get bored.
Mokona-ondo de Pupupu no Pu
Again, the original version can be found in the Best Song Book. Despite all the Puuing which didn't mean much, I actually liked the original version of this song - it was my second favorite song in the Best Song Book. However, this remix kinda let it down. In the original one, it was a fast paced song that could really get you to jump, but this remix pulls down the speed as you can clearly hear the words being sang out word by word - you can even hear the echo of each word when they sing it out. The music has also been changed somewhat, it kinda reminds me of a game that I played long ago, but I can't remember what that was... Never the less, the Puuing is still there, it didn't seem to get effected, and after checking the lyrics, they actually cut out bits from the original song to make this slowed remix fit into 4 minutes and 3 seconds. In conclusion, not the best remix I've heard.
Mokona's Dream
The original version for this one can be found in the last track of the Original Song Book 1. The original version had a slow and kinda sad feel to it, kinda reminded me of Cefiro before the Knights were summoned... Hmm, getting deep, anyway, the remix changes it back to front. Like the first one, it sounds more rock than ever, and although the Puu's still have the same ups and downs as the original, the music makes it sound like a dance more than a dream. A nice switch over for this remix.
Extra Bits
The clock is all in Japanese, so I can't really make out what all the controls are for, but you can set an alarm which has four different types of Puu's. Another interesting thing about the clock is Mokona pounces up and down each second, something to stop your mind from going brain dead if you have too much time on your hands ^_~ As for the calculator, the only interesting thing is for all the buttons (there's 20 of them) there's a separate Puu for each of them. You can extract all these waves (and more) from another directory on the CD.
Verdict
For a Mokona fan, this CD is a must since it gives you more Puu's than you can find anywhere else. However, for people who are just into MKR songs or not interested in the Puuing, then you should make a pass for this CD. A last final note, like all other Extras, there's a heart-shape frame around the character of the Extra, Mokona's Extra also has it, but it's not just Mokona which is in there, a SD Primera is on that cover too. Now I wonder what that means... *evil grin*
