And now, for the long awaited rant of the site, here's Rayearth's take on MKR ^^

So what do you think about MKR?

Magic Knight Rayearth is one good Anime done by CLAMP! I adore the art work, it's one of the best I've ever seen (at least by the standards back then). MKR also has a very unique and romantic storyline which I find very attractive when compared with other series. MKR sent me around the net finding all I can about it even when I was still stuck with a 28.8K modem ~_~

How did you find out about MKR?

It was on the back on a magazine that I saw a poster of MKR where I first found out the existence of this series. But that was back in 1994 when I still liked SAILOR MOON. In 1997 I found more about MKR when Cable TV (a TV channel in Hong Kong) started to play the show. I immediately fell in love with it. As I've already said, their art work is simply great. Since TV was too slow, I turned to the Manga. I read the Manga and found out what happened, which impressed me. Interested in how the Anime version ends, I finished watching the TV version a little later.

After reading the Manga and watching the Anime, I went on to persue more info on the net. This resulted in me joining Mailing Lists, discussion forums and ultimately, making the Dimension. Another reason why I went about finding MKR was because the one whom I love liked it back then ^^;;

So what's so special about MKR?

I think the most important thing about this Anime is that it taught me one important lesson in life. Your determination and will to do something is the main power source of hard work. For some stupid reason, I've never thought about this before :P Although having the will and determination to do something may not make something happen just like that, but it gives you all the mental power you need to keep yourself going. Some people may think I'm crazy, but that's one of the ways how I keep myself going in this endless fight to live in this harsh world ~_~

It's been so many years, why still MKR and not something else?

Well, I guess there's a lot of because-and-therefore's behind this. You see, in order for me to piece together the Dimension, I had to find as much about MKR as I can - and to the most detailed little thing. Hence, I spent most (if not all) of my free online time doing research on MKR and producing the Dimension. So I had very little time to find out about other things that's going on, this includes finding about other series. But thankfully, I lived in Hong Kong, the very few places where Anime VCDs are legal, so I'm still exposed to the new series - although not as much as I used to be. So I guess you can see the reason now, it's because I've been so devoted to explanding my knowledge of MKR, I've ignored/missed the chances to really get into other series.

However, I've recently kinda got into another series - MAMOTTE SHUGOGETTEN. I really, really, really love the Manga, I'm crazy over about it now. But don't worry, I'm not about to start a Shugogetten Dimension until I've finished both MKR and Rayearth OVA sections ^^

So, tell us just how "Rayearth" you are!

Err, is this a challenge? I'm not really that "Rayearth" anymore actually. For example, MKR is no longer my favorite series, nor am I really bothered to read the Manga or watch the Anime regularly (I don't have time anyway). I don't listen to MKR songs all the time as I used to do so in the past, I don't take every chance I can find to bug people about how great MKR is, nor do I get really worked up on heated discussions about who should pair up with who.

However, I do know a lot about MKR, and I tend to use this knowledge passively. I guess the times when I make myself useful is when I see a question about MKR on the ML, that hasn't been answered yet. I guess I'm kinda the "answer man" or "know it all" on the ML since I can come up with answers to most questions that get asked. I also take part in a few other areas of MKR fandom, not the big ones such as fansubbing and Manga translating, only the smaller ones such as hosting the New Ring of Magic Knight Rayearth, New Magic Knight Rayearth Rankings and also taking part in the MKR Page Reviews. I guess I'm just not the type that likes to talk a lot (err, but I tend to type a lot) or joke around :P

Any last words?

It sounds like I'm gonna die or something... Umm, I guess all I could say is "Long live Rayearth! But Mamotte Shugogetten isn't all that bad either" :P
